We’re taking off and jetting to Enontekio, a hidden gem deep within the Arctic Circle in Northern Finland. From there, we’ll whisk you away to the village of Karesuando, where you’ll call home for an incredible 3 nights.

The Davvi Arctic Star Hotel

Situated on the outskirts of Swedish Karesuando, the Davvi Arctic Star is a simple and friendly hotel offering views over both the majestic Muonio River and the Kaarevaara fell.

There are 27 rooms in total, each being unpretentious and cosy, with toiletries in your room and a hairdryer can be requested at reception. The Lagom rooms are inspired by the Swedish concept of Lagom: everything perfectly balanced in moderation - not too much, and not too little. The hotel also offers Fika rooms, which are slightly larger and named after the Swedish social institution of fika: a relaxing break, usually over coffee. Please note that the Davvi Arctic Star is a cashless hotel and only accepts card payments.

 

Davvi Arctic Lodge

The Davvi Arctic Lodge is a charming, simple hotel set on a quiet, secluded hillside in the border-village of Karesuando. The beautiful restaurant, its circular design inspired by the shape of a Sami reindeer corral, is the hotel’s centrepiece and from here you can enjoy panoramic views over the snow-covered hillside to Swedish Lapland located just across the border.

Deep in the heart of True Lapland, and located on the offical Northern Lights route, Karesuando offers once-in-life-time Arctic experiences without the crowds. For those looking to stay in the Swedish side of the village.
