Copthorne Hotel

Bamburgh Castle - The King of Castles – The current structure with Keep, curtain walls, towers and ramparts dates from the 1500’s to the Victorian restructuring of Lord Armstrong. 14 rooms open to the public including the spectacular Kings Hall, with 3000 items of artwork, furniture, china and porcelain.

 

Grey Seal Cruise with seabirds - This is a great opportunity to spend more time viewing the true residents of the Farne Islands, you will see the thousands of birds that nest here, including the Puffins. The 1½ hour cruise sails around all of the islands giving good views of the nesting birds on the cliff faces and viewing the Grey Seals at several vantage points along with an informative commentary throughout. £40 (Bamburgh and the cruise)

 

Beamish - Step into the past and explore our 350-acre site, as Beamish tells the story of the people of North-East England in the 1820s, 1900s and 1940s. Taste traditional food from a coal-fired range, hop on board a tram or steam train, play schoolyard games together and pop into the Co-op shops. £16 (coach transfers only)
